Pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; (1 Thessalonians 5:17-18) tells us this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Prayer is the most intimate conversation we can have with our creator and heavenly Father. In fact He tells us to come boldly unto the throne of grace in Hebrews 5:16.
Have you ever said "all I can do is pray?" Sometimes it's the best thing you can do. Prayer is powerful, prayer is effective, prayer is needed...prayer is a privilege. Read on to find out how you can serve God and others in our prayer ministry.
Prayer Breakfast
Come one, come all! You are encouraged to come together for a special and intimate time of on your face, crying out to God, heartfelt corporate prayer. Nothing warms the heart of God more than His children sharing their hearts, needs, and desires with Him. Men praying with men, women praying with women. The fellowship is fantastic, relationships will grow...and the country breakfast that follows is bountiful!
Join us on the third Saturday of each month at 7:45 with prayer sessions following(check the website under prayer ministry for any changes in schedule.) Your church needs you, your family needs you, your prayers are priceless. Won't you come and make a difference? You will surely be blessed!
Thank God! It's Friday (Men Only)
What an awesome experience to be praying as the sun rises on a brand new day! Join us at 5:00 a.m. each Friday morning for a personal. intimate, intense time of prayer as we pray for each other, our families, our church, the needs of others and our nation. We follow our prayer time with a men's bible study. One man said "I have seen so many prayers answered from this special time." Another said "I can't imagine not being there, it's so special."
As a group, we have been blessed to see true miracles take place because of the power of intercessory prayer (Luke 22:32.) Broken strongholds, healings, restored relationships, career breakthroughs, things that only God can do.
You see, God honors obedience, commitment, transparency and a passion for prayer. Trade in some sleep one morning a week and share in the experience. You'll never be the same...and that's a good thing!
Pray Through Ministry
Be a prayer warrior! Become a part of one of our three-man prayer teams and make a difference. "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." (Matthew 18:20.)
During each service and during special events, these teams pray for clarity and protection over our pastor as he preaches. They pray for the people in the service, or listening to the service, the the message would have a life changing impact on their lives. Most importantly that unsaved people would come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. They also pray for each other and their families, health issues within the church, our missionaries in the field and other critical issues.
This is a very special time of prayer where many deep frienships have been established. Some of the best friends you will ever have will be your prayer partners.
We ask that God would have favor on our church and our "pray through ministry" has made a big difference. It's done on a rotating basis so your team prays only about every six (6) weeks or so. What a great way to serve!
Pastor Support Team
Pastors have been hand selected by God to guide and direct His people, to be the shepherd of His flock. There will never be a more demanding calling with higher expectations from everyone, including God. James 3:1 says, Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that we will incur a stricter judgment. It is a 24/7 job that doesn't operate on a 8 to 5 timeclock. Spritual warfare is a reality (Ephesians 6:12) and can be a challenge for anyone who attempts to walk upright. When you preach the truth and against the enemy of our souls, you may as well have a target painted on your chest. Our pastor and his family need prayer support. The Pastor's Support Team has several functions.
- Group prayer over our pastor, or any speaker, before he preaches for guidance, protection, and liberty during his message.
- Specified prayer time for our pastor and his family's needs and protection
- Prayer at critical times i.e. tragedy, during times of stress or personal need.
This is a powerful opportunity for you to do something that truly makes a difference. There's something special knowing that you have a force of people praying for you throughout the day and amidst the trials of being a faithful leader and servant.
Become a battlefield warrior for our pastor and his family. It's a behind the scenes ministry that plays a powerful and crucial role in the overall ministry of the church. Help us run defense for God's Quarterback!
