Alex Ragland has attended Faith Baptist Church since 2016 and has been actively involved in the music program since joining the church. Alex accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at the young age of six and has been involved in churches for most of his life. He developed an interest in music at the age of 13 and soon taught himself how to play many instruments including guitar, banjo, bass, and ukulele. In 2014, he graduated from Raleigh Christian Academy and then went on to pursue a degree in instrumental music education from Liberty University.
While attending Liberty, Alex was given many opportunities to travel, perform, and lead worship with some of the university’s top music groups. He was also honored with the Liberty University School of Music “Heart in the Arts” award at the 2018 commencement ceremony. Since graduating from Liberty, Alex joined the staff of Faith Baptist Church as the instrumental music director in January 2019. He also currently teaches many private music lessons. He wants to be used by the Lord to guide and train musicians in leading worship each week while also encouraging them to play to the best of their abilities. |
