Preschool Director

I was born in Wake County into a Christian family, and came to know the Lord as my Savior at the age of 10.
Since that time I have loved Him with my whole heart, and have dedicated my life to His service.
God has gifted me with a passion for teaching, and a tremendous love for children, even though my first teaching experience was not with children at all. My first teaching opportunity was presented to me at the age of 26 when I agreed to teach a Sunday School class of senior ladies. I have since asked myself what could someone so young, and inexperienced, possibly teach a class of seasoned Christian Saints. My answer . . . I was the student, and God was teaching me through these precious ladies.
Shortly thereafter I was led to teach a Sunday School kindergarten class at the Baptist Temple in Zebulon, which was a mission church of Midway Baptist in Raleigh. I served in this ministry for 16 years until I was directed by the Holy Spirit to move my membership to Faith in 1990. Since that time I have served in all capacities involving children, specifically Sunday School, Bible school, nursery, and the Awana program. Over the years I have also facilitated adult Bible studies here at church, and at preschool, and have accepted several speaking engagements at other local churches. In 2008 God wrote upon my heart a study for young girls which addresses the painful issues of rejection and bullying. I have shared this (Image) study with many young girls here at Faith, and hope to continue this study in the near future.
In September of 1996 Faith opened the doors of it's first preschool, and I accepted a teaching position here in November. I continued to teach, spent a few years as associate director, and became director in the fall of 2004. Here my love for children and my passion for teaching came together to provide many of the greatest blessings of my life! This grand opportunity has surrounded me with thousands of children to love and teach, and many staff members to love and shepherd. It has also provided me a continuous platform to share the gospel, pray with those in need, and present Jesus on a daily basis to our preschool families. I am, and will forever be, grateful to my Lord and Savior for allowing me to share in the lives of so many.
